Page 1

Well... Here is page 1 of a little short Star Trek story I call "An Incorporeal Interlude". It's only eleven pages long, and it's just for fun. Enjoy.

We've all seen a lot of incorporeal aliens in Star Trek. And I've always wondered, "Do they all know each other?" Do they all meet somewhere to discuss incorporeal stuff? Do they have their own "Federation" like us corporeals?

Well... Yes! They do! They're omniscient, god-like aliens. Of course they know each other. Why wouldn't they know each other?

Now who do suppose called the meeting?

Interesting premise.
For some reason I thought you wouldn't be publishing this until after Christmas..
Pleasantly surprised.

Thank you.
There are a few more days before Christmas. Thought I'd squeeze this in.

Once there was a discussion/talk between Jesco von Puttkamer and someone else in German TV and he made an example I remember to day. He said something like "Suppose this table was the area were intelligent life (or sapient civilizations, I don't remember) might exist, in space AND time, then it is like I would scatter a handful of confetti on the table top: They touch each other nowhere." Strong image, isn't it? So unless all of them have FTL/instantaneous communication, the real, scientific answer would be "no". But that's not the answer we're interested in, are we ;)

Edit: Typos removed.

Well that's true of course, but we're not here for real science. We're here for real science-fiction! :D

Indeed we are :D
And if Q and his folks are involved, commmunication wouldn't be an issue anyway.

I get a feeling that I have to imagine one of these voices sounding like John de Lancie... ;-)
